This entire controversy started after a video which Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni shared on her social media platform X. In the video, Prime Minister Modi is seen gifting ‘Melody’ toffee to him. This moment of a light smile between the two leaders and saying “Melodi” in a funny manner went viral on the internet within a few hours.
Rahul Gandhi took direct aim
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, while reacting to this video, raised questions on the working style of Prime Minister Modi. While posting on X, he wrote that farmers, youth, women, laborers and small traders are worried, but the Prime Minister is making a laughing reel and the BJP is clapping. Rahul Gandhi termed it as “gimmickry, not leadership”. Congress leaders and opposition parties have also started targeting the government regarding this video.
