All schools in Dehradun will be closed
According to the order of the District Magistrate, all the schools in Dehradun will remain closed for a few days in view of heavy rains and cloudburst. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he is in touch with the local administration and is constantly monitoring the situation. He told in the tweet that the district administration, SDRF and police are on the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue operations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone and took heavy rain for the whole situation. The Prime Minister and the Home Minister assured all possible help and said that the central government is fully standing with Uttarakhand in this hour.

Tamsa river in spate due to heavy rains
Thanking the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, Chief Minister Dhami said that the administration is fully active in the affected areas and the rescue and relief campaign is going on a war footing. The Tamsa river is in spate due to heavy rains and the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple is submerged. The temple’s priest Acharya Bipin Joshi said, “The river started in the river from 5 am. The entire temple complex was submerged. Such a situation has come for the first time in a very long time. There has been damage in many places. At this time people should not go to the rivers. The temple’s sanctum sanctorum is safe.”
