Seven ‘wanted’ criminals arrested by Delhi Police in Northwest district

New Delhi: In a decisive operation, the Delhi Police have apprehended seven individuals who had been declared absconders by local courts, underscoring a renewed effort to curb criminal activity in the city’s Northwest district.

The operation, conducted jointly by the Northwest District Special Staff and Mahendra Park Police, targeted individuals evading arrest in connection with cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act and other serious charges. Authorities described the arrests as part of a continuing drive to bring proclaimed offenders to justice.

Who are these offenders?

Among those detained was Ravindra Singh, a resident of Mangolpur Khurd, who had been declared a proclaimed offender by Dwarka Court. Singh was wanted in relation to a case registered under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act at Dwarka Police Station. Another arrest included Vikas Bhasin of Janakpuri, listed as a proclaimed offender by Tis Hazari Court for a similar case registered at Kirti Nagar Police Station.

Manoj, also known as Bunty, from Mangolpuri, was declared a proclaimed offender on August 22 by Tis Hazari Court, facing charges recorded at West Vihar Police Station. Rishi Kumar, from Shalimar Bagh, was declared a proclaimed offender by Rohini Court on August 23 and had a pending case at Mukherjee Nagar Police Station.

The operation also saw the arrest of two brothers, Parveen and Arpan Arora of West Enclave, both wanted by Rohini Court in connection with a case registered at Sultanpuri Police Station.

Mahendra Park Police detains another such offender

Meanwhile, in a separate but related development, Mahendra Park Police detained Sohil, also known as Farooq, from Bawana. Sohil had been declared a proclaimed offender by Rohini Court and faced multiple serious charges recorded at Shahbad Dairy Police Station.

Police officials stated that these arrests highlight the force’s commitment to tracking absconders and ensuring that declared offenders are brought before the courts.
