Vibe Release Date: When And Where To Watch Preity Zinta’s Comeback Film With Kunal Kemmu

Preity Zinta is returning to Indian cinema after eight years. While she has signed Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947, the actress will feature with Kunal Kemmu in the upcoming movie, Vibe. It was announced during Prime Video’s 2026 slate announcement event. Now, the makers have confirmed its theatrical release date. Vibe, directed Kemmu, will be releasing in theatres on September 18. If skips its scheduled Independence Day 2026 release, Vibe would be her comeback film. It also stars debutante Vanshika Dhir and Sparsh Shrivastava who shot to fame with Laapataa Ladies.

Vibe centres on two inseparable friends whose ordinary, unassuming lives spiral into an unpredictable, high-energy adventure that pushes their survival instincts and friendship to the limit. Produced by Kunal and Chirag Nihalani under the banner of Drongo Films, the film marks the first venture for Amazon MGM Studios.

Workwise, Preity is returning to Bollywood after Bhaiaji Superhit in 2018. She is the female lead in Lahore 1947. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Aamir Khan produces it under his home banner. According to reports, Lahore 1947 is based on the famous play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya, O Jamyai Nai by Asghar Wajahat. The play tells the poignant story of a Hindu family left behind in Lahore, Pakistan, during the Partition era. Preity, who now lives with her husband Gene Goodenough and their twins, Jai and Gia, in Los Angeles. She visits India frequently for IPL matches and her other work commitments.

Kunal turned director with Madgaon Express in 2024. The comedy film was one of the box office hits. Workwise, Kemmu was last seen in Single Papa, a Netflix web series revolving around a Delhi-based man who yearns to become a father. After separating from his wife, he decides to adopt a baby boy who was found in the backseat of his car, accidentally. The second season is reportedly in the making. Kunal will be directing the sequel to Madgaon Express as well.

Sparsh became a household name after the success of Laapataa Ladies in 2024. He also played the lead in Netflix’s Jamtara, Prime Video’s Dupahiya and the period film, Ae Watan Mere Watan, among many other titles.
