Why did bread become expensive?
According to people associated with the bakery industry, the cost is continuously increasing due to many reasons. According to experts, there has been an increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in the last one week. Because of which bread companies have added their increasing transportation and delivery costs to the prices of bread. There has also been an increase in the price of LPG used in baking. There has also been an increase in the prices of salt and preservative products.
Cost of plastic packaging increased
According to experts, India imports plastic raw material used for bread packaging on a large scale. Imports have become expensive due to increased pressure on the rupee due to the Iran war, which has also led to a huge increase in packaging costs. Earlier, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation had increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter across the country. At the same time, the prices of petrol and diesel have also increased by about Rs 3.90 per liter. CNG has also become expensive in cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
