Meerut: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Here in Rohta police station area, the body of a 20 year old BA second year student was found in a sugarcane field. She had left home three days ago to appear for her college exams, after which she was missing. The girl had left for the exam on Thursday, but did not return. His body was recovered from the field on Sunday. The victim’s family alleges that the girl was kidnapped, raped and then brutally murdered.
Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Avinash Pandey said, “During interrogation, the accused claimed that they both had met on the day the girl went missing. When he checked the girl’s phone, he found a chat with another boy. Seeing this, he got angry and in a fit of rage he killed the girl.”
At the same time, the father of the victim girl has made many serious allegations against the main accused. They say that the accused was stalking and harassing their daughter for many years. According to the father, the accused along with two of his associates had tried to kidnap his daughter two years ago. The father said, “The villagers then brokered a compromise between the two families. She was so scared of him that she had given up going to college. Recently she started going to college again just to appear for her final exams.”
The SSP said, “After the medical report comes, necessary sections will be added to the FIR. We are investigating the case from all angles, including the role of two other associates mentioned by the family.”
