Tribal Dignity Utsav campaign started in Chhattisgarh. Under the campaign, access to government schemes, health services and public hearing programs will be ensured in tribal villages. There will also be special focus on PM Janman and Dharti Aaba campaign.
Raipur. As per the instructions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, a campaign based on the theme ‘Public Participation Farthest, First’ was launched at the state level under ‘Tribal Dignity Utsav’. This campaign is being conducted under the guidance of Minister Ramvichar Netam.
Development of tribal areas is strong foundation of developed India: Ramvichar Netam
Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam said that the Tribal Dignity Festival will prove to be a milestone in the overall development of the tribal settlements of the state. He said that the development of tribal areas will play a very important role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution of a developed India by the year 2047. He said that just as a strong building is built only on a strong foundation, similarly 100% development of tribal villages will act as the foundation stone for building a developed India.
Better identity of Chhattisgarh in PM Janman and Dharti Aaba campaign
Minister Netam said that due to better performance in PM Janman Yojana, Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan, Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan and Sarvesetu App, Chhattisgarh has gained recognition as a leading state at the national level. He called upon the officials to fulfill the basic objectives of the campaign on priority.
Special public awareness campaign will run from 18 to 25 May
The campaign is being continuously monitored under the leadership of Principal Secretary of Tribal Development Department, Mr. Sonmani Bora and Commissioner, Mr. D. Rahul Vekant. This campaign will be run in the entire state from May 18 to May 25, 2026. On the first day, an orientation program was organized at the district level and information about the objectives and action plan of the campaign was given.
Focus will be on public hearing, health awareness and service saturation
The main objective of the campaign is to ensure effective reach of government schemes and services to the tribal communities and to increase public participation. Under this, a publicity campaign will be run across the state. During the campaign, programs like ground contact, health awareness, service saturation and public hearing programs will be organized in service centres. Complaints received in the public hearing will be resolved promptly and reports of all activities will be uploaded on the Adi Prasarash portal daily.
Awareness programs will be run in thousands of villages and Adi Seva Kendras.
A comprehensive public awareness campaign will be conducted in the state through 1544 villages selected under PM Janman Yojana, 6691 villages of Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and 7222 etc. service centers. During this period, tribal beneficiaries will be benefited from various schemes of the government. Besides, by organizing public hearing in every Adi Seva Kendra, quick resolution of the complaints and problems of the villagers will be ensured.
