The 26th meeting of the Central Regional Council will be held on May 19 in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh including CM Mohan Yadav will attend this meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will participate in the 26th meeting of the Central Regional Council to be held in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh on May 19. This important meeting will be presided over by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. The meeting is being hosted by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Ministers of the states included in the council will be present
The states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh will participate in this meeting of the Central Regional Council. Along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will also participate in the meeting.
Focus will be on increasing coordination between center and states
The main objective of the Central Regional Council meeting is to establish better coordination between the Center and the states and find amicable solutions to the mutual issues of the states by discussing them. Various administrative, developmental and interstate issues will be discussed in detail during the meeting.
Senior officers and representatives of NITI Aayog will also be included
This meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 11 am in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Chief Secretaries of member states, members of the Inter-State Council, representatives of NITI Aayog and other senior officials will also be present in the meeting.
Last year the council meeting was held in Varanasi
It is noteworthy that the last meeting of the Central Regional Council was held in Varanasi in June 2025. This time the meeting to be held in Bastar is being considered important in the direction of strengthening cooperation between the Center and the states.
