Ram Charan on making of Peddi
Actor Ram Charan revealed how emotionally and physically demanding the film was for him. Speaking at the event, he said, “I have been living with this film for the last two years, while Buchi Babu Sana has lived with it for almost five years.” He also thanked music maestro A. R. Rahman for coming on board the project and called him the “centre pillar” of the film.

The actor also opened up about suffering an injury during the shoot of Peddi. He jokingly said, “I have a ligament tear in my hand because of Buchi Babu. Instead of trained artistes, he brought real wrestlers and I got injured. But it remains a beautiful memory.”

Ram Charan calls Janhvi Kapoor ‘chhupa rutam’
Ram Charan also praised co-star Janhvi Kapoor and shared that the audience would love their chemistry in the film. “Janhvi is a chhupa rustam. There was a song that came in at the last minute and we didn’t have much preparation time, but she performed 100 times better than me,” he said. Ram Charan also added that the collaboration carried emotional value for both families as Janhvi’s late mother Sridevi, had worked with his father Chiranjeevi, in the past.

He also credited Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for paving the way for sports dramas in Indian cinema through films such as Sultan and Dangal. “Those films gave us confidence to attempt something like Peddi,” he added.

Divyenndu Sharma on Peddi
Actor Divyenndu, who plays a key role in the film, revealed that he signed the movie even before listening to the full script. Referring to his iconic character Munna Bhaiya from Mirzapur, he jokingly said his advice to Peddi would be, “Aap milkar gang banate hain.”
AR Rahman shares excitement
AR Rahman also shared his excitement about being part of the project. Praising director Buchi Babu Sana, the composer said, “The director may look like a sweet guy, but he is not.” Rahman further added that he had been waiting for the right Telugu film to collaborate on and felt Peddi was the perfect project because it connects strongly with today’s generation.
Meanwhile, Peddi is slated to hit theatres on June 4, 2026.
