First case: Bhopal Twisha Sharma suicide
- On May 12, 2026, 33-year-old Twisha Sharma, daughter-in-law of retired judge Giribala Singh, living in Katara Hills area of Bhopal, had hanged herself on the rooftop of her house. The girl’s parents have filed a case of dowry and murder against their son-in-law, who is a lawyer, and mother-in-law, who is a former judge.
- The family alleges that these people were physically and mentally torturing their daughter for dowry since her marriage. At present there is an uproar regarding this case in Bhopal.

Third case also from Greater Noida
- This case came to light on 8 May 2026 from Dadri area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Where a girl named Monica Nagar was murdered by her husband and in-laws for property worth crores.
- Monica had a love marriage with Anuj Chauhan three months ago in February. It is alleged that Anuj married Monica out of greed for property. When he did not get the money he committed murder. The police have also arrested the accused in the case.
