Mystery related to Hiranyakashipu murder
According to the legend, the demon king Hiranyakashipu had received such a boon from Lord Brahma that he would die neither during the day, nor at night, neither inside the house, nor outside, neither on the earth, nor in the sky, nor in the 12 months of the year. Due to this boon, he became almost invincible and started committing atrocities. Then Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Narasimha and killed him in the evening (neither day nor night), on the doorstep (neither inside nor outside), sitting on his thighs (neither earth nor sky). It is also believed that going beyond the limits of 12 months, the concept of an additional time i.e. Adhik Maas made this Leela possible. In this way this month became a symbol of protection of religion and end of unrighteousness. Therefore, in Hindu religion, this month is not considered inauspicious but from the spiritual point of view, it is considered best for the worship of Lord Vishnu and charity.
