New Delhi: In a shameful incident reported from Greater Noida’s Galgotia University, some students engaged in fighting on the college campus. The video of the fight has now gone viral on social media. According to reports, the fight started over a very trivial issue.
Second incident in weeks
According to reports, this is the second time in the last few weeks that such an incident involving the University students has taken place here. Just a few days back another fight took place between students of the University.
In the video 2 boys, wearing white shirts can be seen beating up each other, even as people around them try to calm down the situation. A third student comes and separates them both. But the very next frame of the video shows more students hitting each other with their fists. The fights are seen happening near the staircase of the college.
The University lies within the jurisdiction of Dankaur Police Station. So far there have been no arrests in the case. Both the University administration and the local police are investigating the matter.
Previous controversies involving Galgotia University
Galgotia University has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this year. In February 2026, the University administration came under fire for allegedly claiming that robotic dogs presented at the AI Impact Summit were built internally. However, the reality was that they were Chinese-made dogs, bought online.
One of the professors who spoke to the media came under fire. She was allegedly blamed by the University for being ill-informed and was suspended. Later the University was asked to vacate its pavilion at the AI Impact Summit. This led to considerable infamy for the University.
