New Delhi: Kerala chief minister-designate V D Satheesan on Sunday unveiled the list of ministers who will join his cabinet and take oath during the swearing-in ceremony on Monday. The announcement comes after the Congress-led alliance secured victory in the Kerala Assembly elections. Senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunny Joseph and K Muraleedharan are among the prominent faces included in the new ministry.
Satheesan also announced key Assembly appointments, naming Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan as the Speaker of the Kerala Assembly and Shanimol Usman as the Deputy Speaker. The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a major ally in the Congress-led coalition, has also finalised five ministers for the new government.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new cabinet is scheduled to take place on Monday, with the alliance set to formally assume office.
