The aim of the government is to create new employment and income opportunities in rural areas along with promoting indigenous cows. Additional Chief Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department, Mukesh Meshram said that these schemes are providing great help to small and medium farmers in starting dairy business.

Provision of up to 50 percent subsidy on dairy units

Under Yogi government’s Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana and Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, up to 50 percent subsidy is being given for setting up dairy and increasing milk production. The financial model of the schemes has also been made beneficial for the farmers. Incentive amount for better breed cows

Under the Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Incentive Scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 10,000 to 15,000 is being given to the cattle rearers rearing cows of indigenous breed that give more milk. This scheme is promoting both conservation of better breeds and dairy production.
