The condition of Pakistan cricket team, which has already lost in the Test series on Bangladesh tour, is not looking good in the second Test also. The Pakistani team fell behind Bangladesh in the first innings of the second test match in Sylhet. Once again Bangladesh’s fast bowler Nahid Rana and spinner Mehdi Hasan Miraj defeated Pakistani batting and took a lead of 46 runs in the first innings. Even Babar Azam’s innings was not enough to save the team.

The play of the second day of the Test match started on 17 May, in which Pakistan carried forward his first innings. Bangladesh’s innings was reduced to 278 runs on the first day of the match. In such a situation, it was expected that Pakistani batsmen would give a strong performance and take the lead in this innings. The team’s batting strength had increased with the return of Babar Azam. But still Pakistani batsmen failed.

PAK batsman fails again, wait for Babar continues

Once again Pakistan’s openers failed, while captain Shan Masood could not convert his start into a big innings. Vice-captain Saud Shakeel’s bad phase also continued. Due to this the team lost 4 wickets for only 79 runs. Pakistan’s pacer Taskin Ahmed and spinner Miraj did this. Both took 2-2 wickets. At such a time, Babar Azam handled the innings from one side and scored a fighting half-century.

As long as Babar was at the crease, the Pakistani team seemed to be in a better position. Also, it seemed that this time Babar will end the drought of centuries that has been going on for 3 and a half years in Test cricket. But when he was moving towards it, once again Nahid Rana hunted him. This tall and stormy fast bowler dismissed Babar on the score of 68. In this way, Babar failed to score a Test century for the 31st consecutive innings.

Bangladesh got the lead

Pakistan had lost 8 wickets for only 184 runs and the team was in danger of collapsing within 200 runs. But number 9 batsman Sajid Khan played a short but explosive innings. This batsman also hit 3 sixes in 3 consecutive balls and was successful in taking the team to 232 runs by scoring 38 runs in just 28 balls.
