Sara said she was surprised by the interpretation, especially because she considers Wamiqa a very good friend. She said that they are always laughing and joking around during interviews. Meanwhile, Rakul Preet also clarified that the clip was taken out of context. She explained that Wamiqa was initially standing in the centre, but wanted to move to the right. She did so, after which Sara and Rakul were engaged in conversation, leading to the moment being misread online.

In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Sara Ali Khan was asked about her most ‘bizarre’ pap video. She replied, “Recently there was a pap video where they thought I was ignoring Wamiqa. But I thought Wamiqa is my very good friend. I think she is, and we laugh in interviews all the time.”

“So I am like ye to ulta ho raha hai. (So I’m like, this is happening the other way around). Interviewers think we’re extremely close and just laughing together. Meanwhile, paparazzi think we don’t get along. I don’t even understand what’s going on anymore,” said Sara, laughing off claims of ignoring Wamiqa.

Rakul Preet Singh Reveals What Exactly Happened

Rakul Preet Singh said the video suggested that she and Sara Ali Khan were talking while Wamiqa Gabbi was being ‘ignored.’ “We were like, huh? When did that even happen? And specifically, what happened that day was that Wamiqa was standing in the centre, and she said, ‘Guys, can I stand on the right?’ We said okay, so she moved to the right. And we were just talking about something over here,” clarified Rakul Preet.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do released in theatres on May 15. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is described as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh, which featured Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in lead roles.
