Why PCB is targeting referee Andy Pycroft?
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Pycroft told the captain of the Pakistani team during the toss not to try to join hands with Indian team captain Surya Kumar Yadav. On Monday, PCB President Mohsin Naqvi said that he has written a letter to the ICC demanding the removal of Picroft from the rest of the tournament. Former Zimbabwe’s international player Pycroft is one of the two match referees appointed for the Asia Cup.
The complaint alleged that Pakistani captain Salman Ali took Aga to one side during the Pikeroft toss and asked him not to join hands. It is being told that he had also talked to the Indian captain separately that he should not do so. According to the report of India Today, the ICC has not yet taken any official decision on the matter. Such requests are usually not considered.
