Foundation stone laid for 25 roads in Shastri Nagar amid ongoing civic projects

The foundation stone for the construction of 25 main roads in Shastri Nagar was laid on Sunday, marking the beginning of a broader infrastructure push in the area.
Officials said the road projects are expected to improve daily commuting and ease traffic movement for residents of Shastri Nagar and nearby localities.

The development comes as several civic works are simultaneously underway in the region. According to information shared during the event, projects related to PNG pipeline expansion, installation of new water pipelines, repair and maintenance of government schools, and beautification of public parks are progressing in different parts of the area.

Work linked to an Arogya Mandir initiative, aimed at strengthening local healthcare-related infrastructure, is also being carried out alongside other civic upgrades.

The announcement was accompanied by references to the broader goal of urban development and improving basic public facilities in Delhi. The projects were presented as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen local infrastructure and expand access to essential services for residents.

The road construction initiative is expected to benefit both motorists and pedestrians by improving connectivity within densely populated neighborhoods. Residents in several parts of Delhi have frequently raised concerns regarding damaged roads, drainage issues, and civic maintenance, making local infrastructure projects a key focus area for authorities.

While timelines for completion were not immediately specified, officials indicated that multiple projects in the area are currently moving forward simultaneously.
