Whereas in Kolkata, the price of petrol is seen at Rs 108.74 and the price of diesel is seen at Rs 95.13 per liter. On the other hand, the prices of petrol and diesel in Mumbai are at Rs 106.68 and Rs 93.14 per liter respectively. Finally, the price of petrol in Chennai is seen at Rs 103.67 and the price of diesel is seen at Rs 95.25.
Crude became costlier by 51 percent amid Iran war
The special thing is that during the Iran War, the price of crude oil has increased by more than 50 percent. If we look at the figures, on February 27, crude oil from Gulf countries was at $72.48 per barrel in the international market. Since then, there has been an increase of about 51 percent in the price of Brent and the price has come to $ 109.26 per barrel. On the other hand, the price of American crude WTI has seen an increase of more than 57 percent. If we look at the data, on February 27, the price of American crude oil was at $ 67.02 per barrel, which has currently come down to $ 105.42 per barrel.
Rupee declined by more than 5 percent
On the other hand, the rupee has also seen a decline of more than 5 percent against the dollar during the Iran War. On February 27, the rupee was seen at the level of 91.08 against the dollar in the currency market. In which till now a decline of 5.19 percent has been seen. On May 15, the rupee closed at Rs 95.81 against the dollar. This means that the rupee has lost Rs 4.73 against the dollar during Iran. Whereas in the trading days of this week the rupee has suffered a loss of 230 paise.
