(CSK) failed to register a win in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against (LSG) on Friday, May 15 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The -led side were left disappointed, as the bowling attack couldn’t defend 188 runs in the second innings.

However in a surprising turn of events, former India spinner   has dropped an optimistic update on Dhoni’s on field comeback. On his official YouTube Channel, Ashwin noted the importance of MS Dhoni’s presence, as he is a quality hitter against pacers.

“Even now, if we talk about a quality pace hitter, I think it’s him,” Ashwin said, underscoring Dhoni’s enduring value to a middle order that has occasionally lacked late-innings impetus.

“Let’s see. I have a feeling that against SunRisers Hyderabad, there is a good chance of him playing. Let’s wait and see how it goes.” said Ashwin.

 

 

“As far as I have heard, he has been ready to take the field for the last two-three games,” Ashwin added.
