Mohsin Naqvi ICC Meeting: Pakistani media has made a shocking claim regarding the final match of IPL 2026, which is making a lot of headlines. According to the claim, BCCI has invited Pakistani Board President Mohsin Naqvi to watch the IPL 2026 final, who will also be a part of the ICC Board meeting to be held in Ahmedabad. ICC board meeting is to be held in Ahmedabad on 30-31 May. But now the truth behind this claim has come to light.
Mohsin Naqvi’s no-entry in India
According to a PTI report, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has not been invited for the IPL 2026 final to be held in Ahmedabad. Along with the final of the tournament, he will also participate in the ICC board meeting to be held on May 31 through video conferencing. This meeting of the ICC Board is being held on the sidelines of the IPL final, in which top administrators from important cricket boards around the world are going to attend.
This meeting was originally scheduled to be held in Doha last month, but was postponed due to the current crisis in West Asia. Mohsin Naqvi is among the three members who will participate in this meeting not in person but virtually. Naqvi’s personal presence was not expected in advance and his joining in virtual mode is completely part of the process. In fact, the facility of video conferencing is always available for those members who are unable to travel.
Final will be held in Ahmedabad
The final match of IPL 2026 will be played on 31 May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. At the same time, the playoff matches will start from May 26. Three exciting matches will be played in the playoff, after which the two finalists will be decided. This will be the fourth time when the final match will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium. Last year also the final match was held on the same ground, where the RCB team won the title for the first time.
