Sawan Som Pradosh Vrat 2026: Pradosh fast is observed on the Trayodashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha of every month. On the day Pradosh Vrat falls, this fast is kept in the name of the war that occurs on that day. Pradosh fast is dedicated to Mahadev. This fast is the best opportunity to get the blessings of Mahadev. Lord Shiva is worshiped on this day during Pradosh period. There is a religious belief that Lord Shiva becomes very pleased by fasting and worshiping on the day of Pradosh Vrat. The results of Shiva worship done on this day are manifold.

Sawan Som Pradosh fast date (Sawan Som Pradosh Vrat 2026 Tithi)
According to Drik Panchang, Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Saavan month will start at 08 am on Monday, August 10. This date will end on Tuesday, August 11 at 04.54 am. In such a situation, keeping in view the Pradosh period, Som Pradosh fast of the month of Sawan will be observed on Monday, 10th August.
Sawan Som Pradosh Vrat Puja Muhurta (Sawan SomPradosh Vrat 2026 Puja Muhurat)
According to Drik Panchang, the time of Pradosh Kaal will start at 07:05 in the evening on the day of Som Pradosh fast in the month of Sawan. This time will last till 09:14 pm. In such a situation, Shiva devotees will get 02 hours 09 minutes time for worship on this day.
Pradosh Vrat Puja Method (Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi)
Devotees observing fast on Som and Bhaum Pradosh should take bath first thing in the morning. Take a resolution to fast while meditating on Lord Shiva. Offer water to Shivling. Then in the evening, during Pradosh period, worship Lord Shiva properly. Anoint Shivling with water, milk, curd, ghee, honey and Ganga water. After this offer Belpatra, Dhatura, sandalwood and flowers. Chant Om Namah Shivay and Mahamrityunjaya mantra during the puja. Recite the story of Pradosh Vrat. Finally conclude the puja with Aarti.
