New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a man allegedly allowed his landlord and a relative of his to rape his wife and 13-year-old daughter, as he could not pay rent in Morbi, Gujarat. The wife’s mother filed a complaint on May 1 under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act at Morbi City.
The officials arrested the landlord and produced him in court. He was detained for one day for interrogation, and after that, the landlord was sent to judicial custody.
Morbi City A Division police inspector Y B Jadeja confirmed that the victim’s husband was sent to jail earlier, and now the landlord has also been sent to jail.
The landlord’s relative is still absconding
The remaining relative of the landlord is still absconding, and the police are still searching for him. The officials have completed the medical examination of the victims and the accused, and also finished the panchnama of the crime scenes.
The victim’s mother and grandmother confirmed that the family came to Morbi six months earlier for work. The rent of the house was Rs 2000, and with the husband’s business not going that well, he couldn’t bear the rent of the house.
Ultimately, with the consent of the husband, landlord, and a relative, the wife and the minor, who was 13 years and 7 months old at that time, were raped.
