Pakistan team is not only losing the matches on the field but at the same time it is also making some such mistakes due to which it has also been punished by the ICC. Actually ICC has deducted WTC points from Pakistan and due to this slow over rate. Pakistan bowled 8 overs slowly as per the target against Bangladesh and due to this 8 WTC points were deducted. Not only this, due to slow over rate, 40 percent match fee of Pakistani team has also been deducted.
What is the ICC rule?
Let us tell you that ICC rules are very strict regarding slow over rate. According to ICC rules, every team has to bowl 15 overs in an hour. Its counting takes place after the match is over. One point is deducted for every over lost. When Pakistan bowled 8 overs slowly, its 8 points were deducted. After this punishment from ICC, now Pakistan’s WTC points are reduced to only 4. This team is in 7th place.
Had a crushing defeat from Bangladesh
Pakistan lost the first test against Bangladesh by 104 runs. Bangladesh had scored 413 runs in the first innings and in reply Pakistani team could score 386 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, Bangladesh declared the innings at 240 runs and gave Pakistan a target of 268 runs, in response the Pakistani team was bundled out for only 163 runs.
In this match, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto and fast bowler Nahid Rana wreaked havoc on Pakistan. Shanto played a century innings of 101 runs in the first innings. He scored 87 runs in the second innings. In the second innings, Nahid Rana bowled with fire and took 5 wickets. He sent half the Pakistan team to the pavilion with his pace. Because of this, Pakistan team lagged behind 0-1 in the two-match test series. Now the last test match of the series will be played in Sylhet from 16th May.
