How was his routine earlier?
How was your daily life when your weight was 165 kg? In response to this question, Kushal says that if I say it in simple words, life was completely over. There was nothing in life because waking up late, not taking proper meals, not having knowledge about diet, everything was a mess. There was no proper schedule. He says that during that time there were 8 to 10 parathas in the morning along with tea. Apart from this, there was a need to eat something or the other every half hour and 15 minutes, because to show satisfaction, one needs to eat something back to back.
Bullying and lack of support
Kushal says that I did not know anything about body weight, but when you shift to a bigger class (came in 10th), they started bullying me there. Because of that thing, I started feeling bad from inside and when I used to go and tell the teachers, at the end they used to say that you should come back after losing your weight. Pressurization was done in this way. There was no support even from parents. The only thing going on in the mind is the judgment of people, what will people think? There comes a turning point where those things go out of your mind and you take your step. Your journey starts from there.

This was the turning point of weight loss
While sharing an incident, Kushal said that it was his birthday that day, so his father took him to get clothes. He says that I was standing with him, but did not say that my son was standing with him. Kushal tells that his father is also overweight, so he gave his example to show his clothes for him. This was the turning point from where I started my weight loss journey.
How did you start?
Kushal says that there was no knowledge at all, so first of all I reduced the portion size of my food and used to drink one or two glasses of water before eating so that my taste remains intact and I also feel full. He says that when I also started my journey, I was not financially stable, so I took baby steps and started with four eggs. If you used to get ₹10 to ₹20 from home, you don’t have to look for resources. Whatever resources are there, you just have to start.
What mistakes?
Kushal says that the biggest mistake I made as a beginner was that I used to watch the transformation of others on social media. I used to think that the number of 75 kgs is for a fit body. So I became dependent only on cardio. He told that cardio had increased the speed of weight loss so much that I was losing 1 kg every 2 days, but this was my biggest mistake. Actually, this increased my loose skin beyond limits. After this I consulted the doctor and there I came to know the importance of weight training.
It took so much time to lose weight
He started weight training and from there things reversed again. It took him double time. He says that I would prefer to always give weight training my first priority. Kushal says that it has taken me almost 7 years for my transformation and in this I have made many mistakes and have also learned from the mistakes.

This is how I lost weight
Kushal says that I have not reduced my food intake during my journey but have found healthy replacements for it. Kushal says, let me tell you the truth, Indian diet is a very good diet, we just have to add protein sources in it and our carbs are already added. If a healthy person is being given less food then he will not find it suitable. He will not be able to survive due to this. In such a situation, I increased my intake and also increased my activity level. In such a situation this became my deficit. He says I took a simple step. I used to click my photos and record my journey. When I compared them after two weeks, even if there was a change of 1%, it was visible to me and that used to motivate me.
