Saharanpur: A heart touching video has surfaced from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here at the Community Health Center of Nanauta, a doctor saved the life of a newborn who was not breathing after birth. The doctor gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to the child, after which the child’s life could be saved. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media and people are praising the doctor.
According to reports, Ayesha, a resident of Dadanpur, was admitted to the hospital for delivery last Monday. The delivery went smoothly, but the baby was neither crying nor breathing. Seeing this the doctor got worried.
The doctor kept trying until he could not breathe again.
In the viral video, it is seen that Doctor Ruma is giving mouth breath to a lifeless child. He placed a white cloth over the child’s mouth and did this several times. But there was no movement in the child. After this he pressed the child’s chest and patted his back. After continuous efforts of the doctor, finally the child started crying. The hospital staff itself had recorded the video of this entire incident in their mobile, which has now gone viral.

‘That moment was very difficult’
Medical experts say that the first few minutes after birth are very important for oxygen to reach the baby’s brain. If nothing was done immediately, the child could have died. Talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Dr. Ruma said, “That moment was very difficult. If I had referred the child somewhere else, it would have been difficult to reach Saharanpur on time. So, I immediately started the treatment and kept doing it until the child responded.”
Health experts also say that in India, difficulty in breathing at the time of birth is a major reason for serious problems in newborn babies. Ever since the video went viral, people have been praising Dr Ruma on social media.
