PCB removes International Cricket Operating Director Usman Vahla
The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has suspended its international cricket operating director Osman Vahla due to the incident of not joining hands. According to Pakistani media reports, PCB president Mohsin Naqvi has taken drastic measures against Vahla due to ‘not taking time action’ on the controversy over joining hands.
The case of not joining hands arose when the Indian players refused to join hands with Pakistani players after the match was over. Hand shaking is a formality after the match. When this was not done, Pakistan was shocked and created controversy. The PCB has demanded the removal of the match referee Andy Picroft.

It does not directly fall under the jurisdiction of ICC.

In a statement shared on X, Naqvi said, “PCB has filed a complaint with ICC regarding the MCC code of conduct and violation of MCC laws related to the spirit of cricket. PCB has demanded the removal of the match referee from the Asia Cup.”

According to PCB, Pycroft had asked Pakistani captain Salman Ali Aga not to join hands with the Indian captain at the time of the toss. Pakistani team manager Naved Cheema has also lodged a complaint with the ACC.
