West Bengal Class 12 Result 2026 Out: The wait of lakhs of students of West Bengal Board is finally over. West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has declared the results of Higher Secondary i.e. Class 12th examination today, 14 May 2026. This year, a total of 86.83 percent students have been successful in the board exams, which is considered to be a strong performance compared to previous years. The result was formally announced through a press conference at 10:30 am, while the online scorecard download link for the students was activated at 11 am. Students who appeared in the examination can now check their results on both the official website and DigiLocker platform.

WB HS Result 2026 Out: How many students appeared for the exam?
This time around 7.1 lakh candidates appeared in the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination. Of these, more than 6.35 lakh students appeared for the examination from 6,837 schools in 23 districts of the state. The examination was conducted from 12 February to 27 February 2026.

According to the rules issued by the board, it is mandatory for students to score at least 30 percent marks in every subject. Not only the total marks, but it has been made necessary to score minimum 30 percent in both theory and practical/project separately. That is, if a student gets less marks in any one part, he can be considered failed.

WBCHSE has announced that hard copies of mark sheets, pass certificates and registration certificates will be made available to schools from 11 am today, May 14, through 56 distribution centers in the state. After this, students will be able to get original documents from their school.
