West Bengal’s G.J. Bulldozer action was taken on a building in Tiljala located on Khan Road. Kolkata Municipal Corporation, following the orders of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, started the demolition drive. According to the West Bengal administration, the building was being operated illegally, had no approved building plan and lacked basic fire and electrical safety measures.
