Team India did not join hands with Pakistani players during a match of Asia Cup 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board has complained against it. The match referee has demanded the removal of Andy Picroft.

PCB said- ICC code of conduct violated
The Pakistan Cricket Board has demanded the removal of the match referee Andy Picroft, alleging violation of the ICC Code of Conduct in the match against India. PCB and Asian Cricket Council chief Mohsin Naqvi posted on X on 15 September.
The Pakistani captain became angry when Team India did not join hands. He did not come to the fray for the award distribution ceremony after the match. The dispute intensified on Monday. Pakistan filed a formal complaint against Indian players and match referee Andy Pycroft. PCB President Mohsin Naqvi wrote on X,
The PCB has filed a complaint with the ICC in connection with the violation of the rules related to the UCC code of conduct and MCC’s cricket spirit by the match referee. The PCB has demanded the immediate removal of the match referee from the Asia Cup.
Why is Pakistan upset with match referee?
Mohsin Naqvi has demanded the removal of match referee Andy Picroft. Because the match referee advised Salman Aga not to join hands with the Indian captain. PCB said, “Match referee Andy Pycroft had asked captain Salman Ali Aga at the time of the toss not to join hands with his Indian counterpart. The Pakistan team management lodged a protest against the spirit of the game. Salman did not participate in the presentation after the match against the Indian team’s behavior. Because the host of the ceremony was an Indian.”
