Focus on ISO certification also
According to Faizullah Tamim, a major objective of this agreement is to bring Afghanistan’s laboratory facilities up to international standards. For this, work will also be done towards obtaining certification recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The Taliban administration believes that this will improve the quality of products in Afghanistan, promote domestic production and help in stopping substandard imported goods.
India’s role increased amid tension with Pakistan
This deal has come at a time when relations between Taliban and Pakistan are continuously deteriorating. After the border clashes, many border crossings are closed, which is affecting the economy of Afghanistan and the lives of common people. The World Food Program has already warned that the closure of the border has led to a rise in food prices and increased economic pressure on Afghan families. In such a situation, this big contract received by an Indian company is not only being considered as a business agreement, but it is also being seen as an indication of regional strategy and changing geopolitical equations.
What is changing in India-Taliban relations?

Although India has not yet given formal recognition to the Taliban government, dialogue between the two sides is continuing. Experts believe that this agreement can further strengthen India’s strategic presence in Afghanistan in the coming times, especially when the relations between Pakistan and Taliban are going through a tense phase.
