Some states of India are at the forefront among the favorite destinations of foreigners. He is particularly fond of some selected states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Maharashtra or UP, where do most foreign tourists reach?
According to the data of the Tourism Ministry, Maharashtra is at the forefront in terms of foreign tourists. 37 lakh foreign tourists will arrive here in the year 2024. Foreigners come to see many tourist spots in Maharashtra including the Gateway of India and Ajanta Ellora caves. The tourists coming here are not limited to Mumbai only. Have come to see the beauty of Alibaug and Nashik along with hill stations like Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar.

West Bengal: 31 lakh tourists arrived
Interestingly, West Bengal reached the second position, leaving behind Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. 31 lakh foreign tourists will arrive here in the year 2024. The heritage, literature and art of Bengal attracts foreign tourists. River tourism here is quite popular. Hooghly and Darjeeling have been popular among tourists. Sundarban, included in the UNESCO heritage list, also attracts tourists.

Gujarat: Reached third position
Gujarat ranks third in terms of foreign tourists. 22 lakh foreign tourists will arrive here in the year 2024. Gujarat is known not only for its heritage but also for business tourism. After the construction of the Statue of Unity, the number of foreign tourists in Gujarat has increased. The Gir National Park here attracts tourists. Their number increases during the season of Navratri and Garba.

Uttar Pradesh: At number four with 21.7 lakh foreign tourists.
If we look at the number of foreign tourists in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, there is not much difference. 22 lakh tourists will reach Gujarat in the year 2024. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh this figure was 21.7 lakh. Taj Mahal is that tourist spot to see which most of the foreign tourists reach Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Rajasthan: 20 lakh foreign tourists arrived
Rajasthan is at fifth position among the top 5 states with highest number of foreign tourists. 20 lakh foreign tourists will arrive here in the year 2024. Jaipur Fort, Hawa Mahal, Udaipur Lake and Jodhpur especially attract the tourists coming here.

Luxury resorts, safaris, cultural festivals and traditional dance-singing presentations attracted the attention of foreign tourists. This is the reason why Rajasthan is included in the list of those five states which are liked the most by foreign tourists.
