Odisha: 28-year-old man kills two men with bladed weapon , taken in custody

Mayurbhanj: In the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, a 28-year-old mentally challenged man killed two persons with a bladed weapon on Wednesday. The incident happened in Kulughutu village, which is situated, the poice said.

Sharing further details, the police said that the accused has been identified as Mochka Alda(28). He allegedly lost his mental balance and attacked two men on the street near his house. After the incident, the police arrived at the scene to investigate the matter. The police have verified the victims as Budheswar Rana (48) and Gopinath Sardar(62). Both sustained injured in the incident and died on the spot.

The accused sustained injuries

Moments later, the residents captured the culprit and allegedly assaulted him, as per the sub-divisional police officer (SPDO) Birendra Kumar Senapati, the accused has an injury in both of his legs. The accused has been sent to the sub-divisional Rairangpur hospital for treatment under police observation, as said Senapati. The police carried out an inquiry in the presence of family members and local witnesses regarding the incident before taking the body for post-mortem examination.

Weapon confiscated by police
