Air India Cuts Flights Across US, Europe, Australia and Asia Till August 2026

Air India has announced temporary cuts and suspensions on several international routes between June and August 2026, affecting flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia.

The airline says the move comes as airlines continue to face restricted airspace in some regions, along with very high Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. According to Air India, these challenges have made some planned routes difficult to operate profitably for now.

The airline also says the changes are meant to improve schedule stability and reduce last-minute disruptions for passengers.

Air India Still Operating Over 1,200 International Flights Monthly

Even with these temporary cuts, Air India says it will continue operating more than 1,200 international flights every month across five continents.

This includes:

  • 33 weekly flights to North America
  • 47 weekly flights to Europe
  • 57 weekly flights to the UK
  • 8 weekly flights to Australia
  • 158 weekly flights to the Far East, Southeast Asia, and SAARC countries
  • 7 weekly flights to Mauritius

The airline says affected passengers will be offered alternative flights where possible, free date changes, or full refunds.
