Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently appealed to the countrymen to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. He asked people to use public transport, carpooling and vehicles only as per need. Taking this appeal of the Prime Minister seriously, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav immediately decided to reduce the number of vehicles in his government convoy. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government is fully committed to saving fuel in the national interest.
The Chief Minister clarified that now keeping in mind the security needs, only minimum vehicles will be included in the convoy. Apart from this, no long vehicle rally will be taken out during any program or tour.

He also appealed to the general public to use public transport more wherever possible.
