Shan Masood: Well, no one has any complaints about a good man. But Pakistan has. Pakistan is disappointed because of a good man. Till now he has lost 11 tests. Even in the first Test played against Bangladesh in Dhaka, a good man became the reason for Pakistan’s defeat. Now you must be wondering who is this good man, due to whom Pakistan is in trouble. His records on the Test cricket pitch are getting worse match after match. The name of that good man is Shan Masood i.e. Test captain of Pakistan.
‘Good man’ but useless
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has described Shan Masood as a ‘good man’. He has said that Shan Masood has become the Test captain of Pakistan because of being a good man. Not only this, he also said about Shan Masood that he is of no use. He doesn’t do anything on the field. As a captain, he doesn’t understand what to do?
Pakistan lost the 11th test under the captaincy of Shan Masood
Under the captaincy of Shan Masood, whom Shoaib Akhtar described as a good man, Pakistan had to face defeat against Bangladesh by a huge margin of 104 runs in the Dhaka Test, which was the 11th defeat of his Test career as a captain.
Shan Masood took command of Pakistan’s Test team in 2023. Since then, he has captained in 15 Tests, out of which 11 have been defeated. Now from this you can guess what is the level of his captaincy? Shan Masood is progressing so fast in defeat that he can set records for Pakistan.
If we keep losing like this, all records will be broken
The captain who has lost the most number of Tests for Pakistan is Misbah-ul-Haq. But, he has got this failure in 56 matches. At second place is Inzamam Ul Haq, who has lost 11 out of 31 tests between 2001 and 2007. Shan Masood has equaled Inzamam in only 15 tests. Pakistan-Bangladesh test series is not over yet. It is expected that in this series, Shan Masood will also break the records of Inzamam Ul Haq.
