Awoman died by suicide at her residence in Hyderabad on Monday night. The incident took place in Madinaguda under the limits of the Miyapur police station.
The deceased was identified as Madhuri. She had reportedly been living with her son after separating from her husband through divorce.
According to police, the woman was said to be disturbed due to personal issues. She allegedly died by suicide when no one else was at home.
The incident came to light after her father repeatedly tried to contact her over the phone but did not receive any response. He later alerted neighbours, who entered the house and found her dead.
After receiving information, Miyapur police reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem examination.
Police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
