Announcement of ‘Team Himanta’: Confluence of old veterans and new faces
This time Sarma is not taking oath alone. Along with him, four more MLAs will take oath as ministers, representing different regions and communities of the state.
- Ajanta Neog: Former Finance Minister and powerful leader.
- Atul Bora: Chief of Assam Gana Parishad (AGP).
- Charan Boro: Representative of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF).
- Rameshwar Teli: Former Union Minister, who is now starting his new innings in state politics.
Along with this, Sarma has also made it clear that senior MLA Ranjit Das will be the next Speaker of the Assam Assembly.
