Mahoba: Once again the war of words has crossed the limits of decorum in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party MP from Hamirpur-Mahoba parliamentary constituency, Ajendra Singh Lodhi, has used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him ‘anti-national’. This incident that took place in the Collectorate premises has not only enraged the BJP but has also created an uproar on social media.
Tone suddenly changed amid protests
On Monday, Samajwadi Party workers had submitted a memorandum in the Collectorate auditorium regarding smart meters, power cuts and water crisis. While addressing the media during the protest, MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi started attacking the policies of the government, but his tone soon became aggressive. In a sarcastic tone, he raised questions on the Prime Minister’s foreign trips and the advice given to the public (spending less petrol and not buying gold). During this time, he used indecent words for the Prime Minister and openly called him ‘anti-national’.

“If you want to file a case, do it, I am not afraid.”
The MP not only stopped the abuses, but also directly challenged the BJP. He said, “If BJP files a case then let them file it, I am not afraid.” He alleged that this government is not friendly to the country but only to Adani and Ambani. Along with this, he also raised questions on the election results and EVMs and claimed that lakhs of votes were canceled in Bengal and the machines were changed at night. He said with confidence that SP government will be formed in Uttar Pradesh in 2027.
BJP’s counterattack: “This is SP’s goonda culture”
After this statement of the MP, BJP has started an all-out attack. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP national spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra termed it as ‘shameful’ on the social media platform ‘X’ and said that it reflects the culture and ideology of SP. At the same time, the BJP state leadership gave a sharp reaction and said that when the leadership itself has abandoned democratic etiquette, then it is useless to expect civilized language from their workers. State President Pankaj Chaudhary said that the use of such derogatory words proves that the Samajwadi Party has become only a group of goons and those who speak abusive language.
