Orange Cap and Purple Cap Holder List in IPL 2026: There is a tough competition going on in the race for Orange Cap and Purple Cap. The orange cap is currently adorned on the head of SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen. Whereas, the purple cap is with RCB’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But, in this race, competition between Klaasen and Bhuvi is also fierce. Heinrich Klaasen is facing competition from his own teammates like batsmen Abhishek Sharma, KL Rahul in the race for Orange Cap, while in the Purple Cap, bowlers like Anshul Kamboj, Rabada have become a threat to Bhuvi. Even after the 56th match of IPL 2026, which is to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, a change may be seen in the race for Orange Cap and Purple Cap.

Heinrich Klaasen will also be a part of SRH against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, who will have a chance to further strengthen his claim on the Orange Cap. Klaasen currently has 494 runs in 11 innings of 11 matches. Now if Klaasen plays a big innings against Gujarat Titans, he will not only cross the threshold of 500 runs, apart from that he can retain the Orange Cap.
Clasen – Abhishek will complete 500 runs
However, Abhishek Sharma is also not far behind in the race for Orange Cap. After the match played against Punjab Kings on May 11, KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals may have left them behind. But the distance between them is only 2 runs. KL Rahul has 477 runs in 11 innings while Abhishek has 475 runs in the same number of innings. That is, if seen, Abhishek is also not far away from crossing the threshold of 500 runs and against Gujarat Titans, he will also have a chance to do this feat like Klaasen.
Bhuvi captures Purple Cap, ‘fours’ will make Rabada’s point
As far as the Purple Cap is concerned, it is held by Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a good lead. But, if Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada gives his best against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026 and takes four wickets in a match for the first time this season, then he will become eligible for the Purple Cap. However, with the kind of batting line up SRH has, it will not be easy for Rabada to take 4 wickets.
