Recalling his early administrative experience, the Chief Minister said that when he got the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh in 2017, he did not have the experience of running a government administration. However, the discipline he learned from the management of Gorakhnath Math helped him in running the state. He said that in a monastery there is discipline of time, finance and security and he tried to implement the same model in the administrative system.

Journey from mafia rule to investment model

Giving the example of Prayagraj, CM Yogi said that there was a time when a mafia had even stopped the convoy of the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. But today strict action is being taken against criminals in the state and the business environment has improved. Referring to the migration to Kairana in Western UP, he said that now the situation has changed and many families are returning.

Special emphasis on ODOP and MSME model

The Chief Minister said that more than 96 lakh MSME units are working in Uttar Pradesh, which are providing employment to about 3 crore youth. Describing the “One District-One Product” scheme as a big achievement of the state, he said that it has given international recognition to local products. He said that the government is continuously working on providing better security, connectivity and strong supply chain to the industries.

Religious tourism becomes the new strength of UP

CM Yogi claimed that last year 156 crore tourists arrived in Uttar Pradesh, which included crores of devotees who came during Mahakumbh. He said that work is being done rapidly towards giving global recognition to religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura-Vrindavan, Vindhyachal and Buddhist Circuit.
