Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the KF Rustomji Award distribution ceremony organized at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal on 11 May. On this occasion, Director General of Police Kailash Makwana welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him a bouquet. During the program, the cavalry team welcomed the Chief Minister in a special manner and he was also given a guard of honour.

At the function, the Chief Minister presented honors in the Param Vishisht, Ati Vishisht and Vishisht category under KF Rustomjee Award for the year 2019-20 and 2021-22.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the policemen who have received the honor have achieved this feat through their bravery, hard work and efficiency. He congratulated all the respected police officers and employees. CM said that KF Rustomjee awards will be given regularly every year. The Chief Minister said that just as KF Rustomji had launched a campaign to end the problem of banditry in the state, Madhya Pradesh has also ended the problem of Naxalism by moving forward in the same direction. He said that the government is working in a planned manner to deal with organized crimes.

CM Dr. Yadav said that Rustomji had also played an important role during the Nagpur riots and had made an important contribution in laying the foundation of Border Security Force i.e. BSF for the security of the country. He said that this time 101 policemen of the state have been honored with the KF Rustomji Award. The state government is continuously encouraging innovation and excellent work in the police department.

The Chief Minister said that policemen perform their duty amidst many challenges. Maintaining law and order is not an easy task, yet the police department is working with full dedication. He said that big changes are taking place in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Naxalism remained a serious problem for the country for about 35 years, but Madhya Pradesh became the first state to be free from this problem.

The CM said that today many states of the country are fighting a decisive battle against Naxalism and are working to give the “last salute to Lal Salaam”. He said that efforts were made to scare people with the help of weapons and terror and a minister was even murdered in Madhya Pradesh.

Big announcement regarding Madhya Pradesh Police Recruitment 2026

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that recruitment is being done continuously in the police department. The recruitment process for the year 2023 and 2024 has been completed. Now a new recruitment process will be started in the year 2026, in which there will be appointments from sub inspector to policemen. He said that the state government had set a target of 22 thousand 500 recruitments and to complete it next year, a recruitment drive will be conducted again. Recruitment has also been done for police band in the state.

CM said that the police department is part of the government’s family. The government is making continuous efforts to provide housing and better facilities for policemen. It is the responsibility of the government to take care of their problems and facilities.

DGP Kailash Makwana enumerated the achievements of the police department

In the program, Director General of Police Kailash Makwana said that in this ceremony, 7 awards of Param Vishisht category, 8 of Very Vishisht category and 86 awards of Vishisht category are being given. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh Police has achieved many big achievements. This also includes making the state Naxalism free by 11 December 2025.

DGP said that Dial 112 service is being operated successfully. Last year, approval was given for recruitment to 8.5 thousand posts and after completing the constable recruitment process, the soldiers are being given joining. He said that there is a possibility of getting approval for recruitment to 10 thousand new posts in the state police force in the year 2026. In view of a big event like Simhastha 2028, special training is being given to the police force and preparations are going on.
