A video of an Indian woman complaining about the expenses incurred during her trip to America is going viral on social media. This woman named Aakriti Pandey told in her Instagram video that she was really surprised to see the price of coffee and dosa. He says that for a person who earns in Indian Rupees, it is very worrying to convert every expenditure into Rupees in America.
Aakriti says that she reached America after comparing the Malaysian Ringgit and Thai Baht to the Rupee. She says, ‘Today one dollar is worth 93 to 95 rupees. This journey is forcing me to rethink my life.
The woman cited lack of public transport as another major problem. He said that after landing at the airport at midnight, the taxi fare to reach the hotel is almost the same as a day’s hotel fare. Aakriti told that recently she had to spend 67 dollars (about more than Rs 6,000) to reach a motel.
She was really shocked when she compared the prices of food and coffee with India. Aakriti said, ‘Even for a normal coffee from 7-Eleven, one has to pay 3-4 dollars. In India, for this much money one can get good coffee with good beans and almond milk. The bill for eating three dosas in the Bay Area was $57, i.e. around Rs 5,300.
Aakriti’s question to those who say that expenses should not be considered in terms of rupees, is that how can a person who earns money in rupees by doing a job in India not do so? He also said that such trips can be enjoyed only by those who come on company sponsorship, otherwise it causes a lot of financial anxiety.
