The first phase of Census-2027 has started in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the self-counting campaign. Citizens will now be able to enter their information on the online portal. House listing work will also start from May 22.
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government is working rapidly towards making Census-2027 transparent, technology-based and completely accurate. In this sequence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally inaugurated the first phase of Census-2027 in the state on Thursday.
Under this, a self-counting session was organized on Friday at the official residence of Backward Class Welfare and Disability Empowerment Minister Narendra Kashyap. During this, Minister Narendra Kashyap himself registered his participation in the campaign by taking a self-count.
Census 2027 Self Enumeration: Citizens will be able to fill census details online themselves
Through the self-counting campaign, citizens of the state will now be able to register their and their family’s information online. For this, Census Self Enumeration Portal has been made available.
The government has appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in Census-2027 and make the self-enumeration process successful. The objective of the new digital system is to make the process of data collection fast, transparent and error-free, so that the state can get accurate data.
UP House Listing 2027: House listing work will start from May 22
Under the first phase of Census-2027, the self-enumeration process will continue for 15 days. After this, the work of formal house listing will be started across the state from May 22. The government has clarified that during the self-enumeration, all the standards of data security and privacy will be fully followed, so that the information of the citizens remains safe.
Awareness Campaign for Census 2027: Awareness campaign will be run up to village level
Yogi government will run a special awareness campaign from state level to district and village level for wide publicity of Census-2027. Along with this, helpdesks and assistance centers will also be set up for the convenience of the citizens.
During the program, Minister Narendra Kashyap instructed the officers and employees to ensure effective implementation of this campaign at their respective levels as per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and motivate more and more people to participate in it.
Narendra Kashyap Statement: Census data will be helpful for development plans
Minister Narendra Kashyap said that the self-enumeration process will get a new direction through Census-2027. The data obtained from this will play an important role in the formulation of developmental plans of the state and their effective implementation. He said that on the basis of accurate data, the government will be able to prepare better schemes for different sections. Senior officers and employees of the Directorate of Census Works and the Department of Backward Class Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities were present in the program.
