Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the new headquarters of Bhopal Municipal Corporation ‘Atal Bhawan’. Built at a cost of Rs 73 crore, this building is based on the green building concept and here all the departments related to the Municipal Corporation will work under one roof. To make the building energy self-reliant, electricity will be supplied from the 10.5 MW solar power project developed in Deori village of Neemuch.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the new headquarters of the Municipal Corporation ‘Atal Bhawan’ on 7 May. He unveiled the stone plaque of the building and wrote ‘Bhopal will remain number-one in cleanliness’ on the pledge of cleanliness. He inaugurated the solar energy project developed by Bhopal Municipal Corporation at Deori in Neemuch district by pressing the remote. The project has been developed on PPP mode at a cost of approximately Rs 14 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also gave instructions to provide Rs 5,000 each to Kallu and his colleagues who were playing Shehnai in the inauguration programme.
On this occasion, CM Dr. Yadav said that this building of the Municipal Corporation of Bhopal, the clean and green capital of the country and the city of lakes, will become a symbol of good governance. This building established in his name will be a center of accessible, well-organized and transparent services. He said that this modern building will become a symbol of good governance, better civic facilities and new resolve for development in the city. He said that this building of Municipal Corporation is based on green building concept. The objective of this building is to provide all the facilities to the citizens at one place. The building has adequate provision of sunlight and ventilation, in line with the principles of historically proven Indian architecture.
Five districts will benefit from this Atal Bhawan
The building will fulfill its own needs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this building will fulfill its own needs from the energy point of view also. Today, 10.5 MW solar power plant installed in village Deori of Neemuch is also being inaugurated by Municipal Corporation Bhopal. Electricity supply to this building will be done from this plant in Neemuch through open access. A solar power plant is also being installed in the parking lot of the campus. This building is a wonderful example of energy and environment conservation. The pride of the state capital Bhopal is increasing day by day. Bhopal is being developed as a metropolitan city. By connecting Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Rajgarh with Bhopal, this area will set new stages of development.
Now the city government will run in a new way

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in a democracy, the central government, state government and municipal government, expression of citizens’ sentiments and of the people – by the people – for the people are important pillars of the governance system. Minister in-charge Chetan Kashyap said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state government is setting new dimensions in development and public welfare activities in all areas. In this building of Bhopal Municipal Corporation built at a cost of Rs 73 crore, all the departments related to the Municipal Corporation will work together under one roof. Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He told that the newly constructed building of Municipal Corporation Bhopal has been developed in 8 floors including the ground floor. Made up of approximately 2 lakh square feet, this building is equipped with modern facilities. Rai also highlighted the achievements of Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
