Bihar Cabinet Expansion 2026: A big change was seen in the politics of Bihar today when the much awaited cabinet expansion of the NDA government led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary took place in a grand ceremony at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. A total of 32 ministers took the oath of office and secrecy in this swearing-in program, in which leaders of BJP, JDU, LJP (R), HAM and RLM were given place. The event was not just a formality, but was seen as a show of strength and a political message, which was made even more important by the presence of the country’s top leadership.

Dominance of BJP and JDU, small parties also got share
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal United (JDU) have got the maximum stake in this new cabinet. 15 BJP and 13 JDU leaders took oath as ministers. Apart from this, 2 ministers from LJP (R), 1 from HAM and 1 from RLM have been included. This clearly indicates that the NDA has expanded the cabinet keeping in mind the alliance balance in Bihar, so that all the allies can get representation.
