Ben Stokes hits hundred for Durham: England’s legendary all-rounder Ben Stokes has made a comeback on the field of 50 over format after his retirement from international cricket. Playing for Durham in England’s domestic tournament ODI Cup 2026, Ben Stokes played a memorable century against Derbyshire and led his team to a spectacular victory. Ben Stokes played a match-winning innings for the Durham team, which was chasing the target of 257 runs given by Derbyshire. Stokes, playing his first 50 over match after the 2023 World Cup, destroyed the Derbyshire bowlers and scored unbeaten 108 runs in 123 balls. His match-winning innings included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Due to which Durham team achieved this target in 49.1 overs at the loss of 5 wickets.

This is the 10th century of Ben Stokes’ overall List-A career. Along with this, this is also his first List-A century in Durham jersey since 2014. The special thing is that he has decided to play in ODI Cup 2026 instead of The Hundred 2026, which is quite surprising.

Recently retired from international cricket

Ben Stokes had announced his retirement from international cricket only last month. He took this decision in the middle of the last match of the Test series against New Zealand.
