Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has raised concerns among fans by sharing a very personal and philosophical note about his hospital stay and recovery on his latest blog by revealing that he underwent surgery and spent time in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In his latest blog entry titled ‘DAY 6726’ posted on July 21, the veteran actor reflected on his experience of hospitalization, the challenges of returning home and the resilience required during recovery.
Expressed his pain in the blog
The actor wrote, “.. a surgery in the hospital and in the ICU, under the care of skilled doctors and medical staff.. a discharge.. and returning home..” He described the period after discharge as the toughest phase of the recovery process, both physically and emotionally. Bachchan wrote, “This period of homecoming is the most difficult period.. physically, psychologically and practically..”
Written in his signature introspective style, the note also conveys the emotional impact of illness and recovery through the metaphor of a champion facing defeat. “.. You are a respected champion and one day defeat stares at you.. This is the toughest phase of your life..” Reflecting on how people react to adversity, the actor further added, “.. Some face it.. Some give up.. Those who try and remain brave always remain champions.. Those who don’t, they adjust and live in past glories.. It is a choice that every individual makes. Makes it individually..” He concluded his statement by writing, “Neither of them is wrong..” and then signed off with his traditional message “Stay healthy, stay happy.. Amitabh Bachchan.”
