The news of rift in the relationship between Vijay and Sangeeta first came in 2023. It was then said that the couple had decided to end the relationship. This news gained further momentum in February 2026. Sangeeta filed a divorce petition against Vijay accusing him of having an extra marital affair. According to Sangeeta, in 2021 she came to know about Vijay’s extramarital affair with an actress, after which her trust was broken. Sangeeta has filed a petition in Chengalpattu Family Court. The court has asked the couple to appear on June 15, due to which everyone’s eyes are on this case.
