Kerala (Keralam) Assembly Election Result 2026 and Counting of Votes Live Updates: The political direction of Kerala will become clear today as counting of votes for the Assembly elections will be conducted today, bringing an end to an intense electoral battle involving the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF), and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The results carry major political significance for all three alliances as each seeks to expand its influence in the state’s evolving political landscape.

More than 2 crore registered voters were eligible to cast their ballots in the election on April 9, with the state recording a voter turnout of 79.63 per cent across its 140 Assembly constituencies. A total of 883 candidates were in the fray for the seats.

The counting process will be conducted at 140 counting centres spread across 43 venues, with officials scheduled to begin the exercise at 8 am.
